Propane Routing Diagram
The Propane Routing Diagram shows how propane is supplied from two separate tanks mounted on the trailer tongue.
Tank 1 (driver side) is dedicated to the main “house” propane system, and Tank 2 (passenger side) is dedicated solely to the front passenger-side grill connection.
A future-ready branch from the house system to the garage allows for an optional on-demand gas water heater, while still supporting the option of an electric water heater instead.
Propane System Overview
The propane system is intentionally split into two logical subsystems:
- House Propane System (Tank 1): Supplies regulated propane to any interior loads and a future gas water heater in the garage.
- Grill Propane System (Tank 2): Supplies propane exclusively to the front passenger-side grill quick-connect.
This separation allows you to use the grill heavily without affecting the propane reserved for core systems.

Key Components
House Propane System (Tank 1)
- Tank 1 (Driver Side): Dedicated to house loads.
- House Regulator: Reduces pressure for the main system.
- House Main Supply Line: Routed along the frame/underbelly.
- Branch to Garage: Future connection for an on-demand gas water heater (capped if electric is used).
Grill Propane System (Tank 2)
- Tank 2 (Passenger Side): Dedicated solely to the grill.
- Grill Regulator: Regulates pressure for the grill circuit.
- Grill Supply Line: Routed to the front passenger-side outlet.
- Quick-Connect Grill Outlet: Exterior connection for a portable grill or appliance.
Routing & Installation Notes
- Physical separation: House and grill systems are supplied by different tanks and regulators.
- Clear labeling: Mark Tank 1 as “House” and Tank 2 as “Grill” at the tongue.
- Protected routing: Run all lines along the frame with proper clamps and abrasion protection.
- Accessible tees and caps: Keep the garage branch accessible for future heater installation.
- Leak testing: Test each system (house and grill) independently after installation.

How This Diagram Will Evolve
As the build progresses and the water heater decision is finalized, this page will be updated with the chosen heater type, exact routing details, valve locations, and installation photos.
The separation between the house system (Tank 1) and grill system (Tank 2) will remain a core design feature for simplicity and reliability.
