Kitchen Plumbing Diagram
The kitchen plumbing system supplies cold and optional hot water to the kitchen sink and routes grey water to the internal kitchen grey tank.
This page provides a visual overview of the kitchen plumbing layout, showing how water is delivered from the bathroom manifold and how drainage flows into the dedicated grey tank.
This diagram supports the Kitchen Plumbing Plan and the overall Plumbing Master Diagram.
Kitchen Plumbing Overview
The kitchen plumbing layout is designed to be simple, reliable, and efficient.
The kitchen sink receives pressurized cold water from the main manifold in the bathroom, with an optional hot water line routed from the hot water heater in the garage.
Grey water drains into the internal kitchen grey tank located beneath or near the sink base cabinet.
- Cold water feed from the bathroom manifold
- Optional hot water feed from the hot water heater
- Kitchen sink drain routed to the internal grey tank
- Vent path for the grey tank (if required)
- Protected routing through interior cavities

Key Components in the Kitchen
- Kitchen Sink: Primary fixture for washing and food prep.
- Cold Water Line: Routed from the bathroom manifold to the sink supply.
- Optional Hot Water Line: Routed from the hot water heater in the garage.
- Sink Drain: Direct drain line to the internal grey tank.
- Internal Grey Tank: Dedicated tank for kitchen wastewater.
- Optional Grey Tank Vent: Prevents vacuum lock and improves drainage.
Routing & Installation Notes
The kitchen plumbing routing is designed for efficiency, freeze protection, and ease of service.
- Interior routing keeps supply lines protected from freezing.
- Short, direct runs minimize pressure loss.
- Drain line slope ensures proper flow into the grey tank.
- Grey tank placement should allow easy access for maintenance.
- Optional venting improves drainage performance.
- Secure mounting of PEX lines and drain components.
