Bathroom Plumbing Plan

Bathroom Plumbing Plan

The bathroom is the central hub of the CTC plumbing system.
It houses the 50‑gallon fresh water tank, the 12V water pump, the cold‑water manifold, and multiple fixtures including the shower, bathroom sink, and washer/dryer combo.
This plan outlines the functional purpose, routing strategy, installation considerations, and system integration for the bathroom plumbing layout.
It works in tandem with the Bathroom Plumbing Diagram and the Plumbing Master Plan.

Purpose of the Bathroom Plumbing System

The bathroom plumbing system is designed to serve as the core of the entire water distribution network.
All cold water originates from the fresh tank and pump located in this area, and hot water is supplied from the heater in the garage.
The bathroom also manages the majority of the trailer’s grey water output.

  • Fresh water storage via the 50‑gallon tank
  • Pressurization through the 12V water pump
  • Cold water distribution via the manifold
  • Hot water supply from the garage heater
  • Grey water drainage from shower, sink, and washer/dryer
  • Ventilation and overflow management for the grey system

System Components

  • 50‑Gallon Fresh Water Tank: Primary water reservoir for the entire trailer.
  • 12V Water Pump: Pressurizes the cold water system.
  • Cold Water Manifold: Distributes cold water to bathroom, kitchen, and passenger‑side outlet.
  • Hot Water Line: Routed from the hot water heater in the garage.
  • Shower Assembly: Hot and cold supply with dedicated drain.
  • Bathroom Sink: Hot and cold supply with drain to grey system.
  • Washer/Dryer Combo: Cold water supply and drain connection.
  • Grey Water Drain Line: Combined drain routed to the under‑floor grey catch tank.
  • Vent Line: Prevents vacuum lock and improves drainage performance.

Routing Strategy

The bathroom plumbing routing is designed for efficiency, freeze protection, and centralized serviceability.

  • Centralized distribution: All cold water originates here.
  • Short hot water run: Direct line from garage heater to bathroom fixtures.
  • Combined grey drain: Shower, sink, and washer/dryer feed a single drain line.
  • Vent line: Prevents siphoning and improves drainage.
  • Protected routing: All lines run inside conditioned space.

Installation Notes

These guidelines ensure a clean, safe, and durable installation.

  • Tank Mounting: Securely fastened with straps or brackets.
  • Pump Isolation: Use vibration‑dampening mounts.
  • Manifold Access: Keep accessible for maintenance and winterization.
  • Drain Slope: Ensure proper fall toward the grey catch tank.
  • Washer/Dryer Drain: Use reinforced hose and secure clamps.
  • Leak Testing: Pressure‑test all supply lines and fill the grey system to check for leaks.

Integration With the Plumbing System

The bathroom plumbing integrates with the larger plumbing system as follows:

  • Cold Water: Tank → Pump → Manifold → All fixtures
  • Hot Water: Heater → Bathroom fixtures → Kitchen (branch)
  • Grey Water: Shower + Sink + Washer/Dryer → Combined drain → Under‑floor grey catch tank
  • Toilet: Self‑contained; no connection to plumbing system
