Hallway

Hallway

The hallway is a small but important transition space in the CTC build.
It connects the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and office while also serving as a routing corridor for electrical, plumbing, and ventilation systems.
This page documents the hallway’s purpose, layout, and future plans for storage and system access.

Hallway Features

Although compact, the hallway plays several key roles in the overall layout:

  • Primary walkway between the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and office
  • Potential location for electrical routing and access panels
  • Future storage or shelving opportunities
  • Clearance zone for bathroom and bedroom door swings
  • Ventilation and airflow path between front and rear zones

Layout Notes

The hallway sits between the bathroom and the bedroom, with the office located just beyond the bedroom area.
Its narrow footprint is designed to maximize living space while still allowing comfortable movement between rooms.

Key layout considerations include:

  • Maintaining clear walking space between major rooms
  • Ensuring door swings do not interfere with movement
  • Keeping wall cavities accessible for wiring and plumbing
  • Allowing airflow between the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom zones

As the build progresses, this page will be updated with final dimensions, framing details, and any added storage or system access points.

Future Storage & Utility Options

The hallway offers opportunities for lightweight, low‑profile storage solutions that do not obstruct movement.

  • Shallow shelving or cubbies
  • Wall‑mounted organizers
  • Electrical access panels (if routed through this zone)
  • Coat hooks or lightweight hanging storage

Any storage added here must remain narrow to preserve walkway clearance.

System Integration

The hallway may serve as a routing path for several systems:

  • Electrical: wiring runs between the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom
  • Plumbing: optional cold/hot water lines depending on final routing
  • Ventilation: airflow path between front and rear zones

Final routing decisions will be documented in the Electrical System and Plumbing System pages.

Even though it’s a small space, it plays an important role in the overall flow and functionality of the trailer.
